Default "Your Traffic is used up for today!" message

Hi,

I downloaded a few NDS roms on the 18th/19th August and another on 31st August without problem.
I've now tried to download various games and always get the error message above, with a message below it which links to a sign up for Usenext.
I'd be grateful if you could advise.

Thanks.

Hello, semiartifical -

Kind regards,

Hi,

Thanks for such a quick reply.

I start at ROM-FREAKS.NET.

After clicking on the broken circle, it goes straight to a screen which is headed up "Freakshare - Easy One-Click File Hosting", which shows the message.

I use Broadband internet, which checks out at 13-14Mb/sec d/l speed during speedtests.

Hope that helps, and thanks again.

Hello, semiartificial -

please try to rename the downloaded file so the extension is .html and not .rar, and start the file using your browser. I assume that it is an error message which you downloader took for an archive and saved with the wrong extension.

Kind regards,

YaGru

Default merged double post

I don't actually get that far.

Here's what happens:
- I go to ROM-FREAKS.NET
- I click on Nintendo DS (or search for ROM)
- I click on the arrow in the DL column
- I see the white screen with circles and message saying "Please click on the open circle to show the Download Link"
- I click on the open circle
- This takes me to a screen, with the FREAKSHARE title, which says: "Your Traffic is used up for today! But you can download this file on Usenext - sign up now for free!"

I can do nothing else.
Any ideas please?
Thanks a lot.

An update on this.

I went onto FROZEN-ROMS.in
I followed their download route, which took me to FREAKSHARE.
I had to wait 10 minutes, but when the timer finished and I clicked 'download', I got this message:

"Sorry, you cant download more then 1 files at time. Upgrade to Premium
But you can download this file on Usenext - sign up now for free!"

I wasn't downloading anything else, but clearly something is making FREAKSHARE think I am, which I guess is why I'm getting the other message.

I have cleared all my cookies, temporary internet files etc, but it doesn't make any difference.
Hope you can help.
Thanks.

Hello,

are you the only one using your internet access (like at home), or do you use a shared access like an internet cafe or at an university? In the latter cases it is possible that someone else is downloading, and as the outgoing IP address is shared by the PCs "inside", you get such a message. If this is the case, you just need patience - or a premium account, if no mirror on another hoster is provided.

Kind regards,

YaGru

No, I'm at home, the only one using.
It's been the same problem for weeks now, so it's not really a matter of patience.
I spent some time today looking for other sources and have found three which do work, so I'll switch to them.
I won't be buying a Premium account ... and if blocking regular downloads is a tactic which FREAKSHARE are using to get Premium subscribers, they should say so!
Thanks.

Well, thank you very much, I've tried that and - just as you said - it works fine now. Your help is much appreciated.
